Pierre Pouplin spent years in the salons of Paris, New York and London before setting up his hair studio in the quaint village of Byfleet in Surrey. According to Pierre:
"Throughout my years as a hair stylist I feel very fortunate to have worked between Paris, New York and London. My first years as a young stylist in Paris were as an assistant to Louis G, Coco Chanel's personal hairstylist. It was my first taste of creating hairstyles to fit high fashion, a concept which I have used throughout my career. Next I moved to the salons of Jean-Louis Deforges and Jacques Dessange as both a stylist and an Academy instructor. This experience transformed into a 5 year partnership with the very talented Patrick Millande.
Moving to London in 1994, I first worked at the Harrod's Salon, then moved on to be Artistic Director at the Elizabeth Arden Spa in Mayfair. During this time I was also a guest artist at the Red Door Salon on 5th Avenue in New York and their salon in Chicago. Great fun!
After working so long for others I decided it was time to do some freelancing before setting up The Private Room in Byfleet in 2000. With my own business I was free to create my own special style and to perfect my skills in colouring. I even had time to complete the L'Oreal Professional Specialist Colouring Course with a graduate degree in December 2006.
The Private Room is my cozy and comfortable salon where together we will create the hairstyle that best complements your special talents!"
